This is one of my favourite times for fashion here in Australia. After two months of lusting over summer dresses and new swimsuits while I'm thermal-clad with my heater running, the pre-fall collections start arriving and it's the perfect temperature for us to give them a whirl. While I might gaze longingly at those pictures of the Amalfi Coast, it's no secret that trans-seasonal dressing is my favourite, and as such, I was pretty excited to style up a few looks from the newest Paige Fall 16 collection.
For their latest offering, Paige have once again teamed up with Rosie Huntington-Whitely, both as the face of their campaign, and as a contributing art director. Shot at the iconic Troubadour nightclub in Los Angeles, the campaign is a perfect fusion of classic, easy pieces with a rock and roll edge.
If like me, a little bit of Fall layering is on your mind, these are three key pieces to consider investing in for the new season:
1. The Contrast Coat
The humble coat gets an update with a contrasting open lapel. This one is the perfect combination of two of my key fall colours, tan and grey, and it looks just as great worn open or fastened.
2. The Suede Mini
Cool, versatile and looks great with pretty much everything. I love pairing it back with a slightly feminine blouse and ankle or knee high boots.
3. The Leather Pant
These skinnies are based on a Paige classic, the Edgemont jean, which features double zips on each side and the perfect slim fit. A pair of great leather pants are definitely a wardrobe staple - layer with with your favourite tee or denim shirt and a coat for extra chilly days.
