3 Failsafe Evening Looks For Your Next Night Out

With Valentine's day just around the corner and events coming back around in full swing, it seemed like the perfect time to put together three of my favourite, failsafe evening looks.

Often I'll be rushing from a meeting (or deadline) to an event, and as such, I like to try and be out the door in 15 minutes. I know it sounds tight timing-wise, but if you have a go-to edit of pieces that make getting ready seamless, a little bit of eyeliner, some salt spray and a great pair of earrings, you're set. Here are my top three looks for a night out:

1. The Black Dress
Classic and versatile, I can truly never have enough black dresses in my wardrobe. I like to divide them into three categories - cocktail (lbd), casual and black tie. Having one of each style means you have all manner of occasions covered. I love that this Backstage Dress does the accessorising for you with a matching neck tie.

2. The Midi Skirt
A dressy, mid-length skirt is an evening favourite of mine. For a casual dinner, I'll often pair it back with a white t-shirt and a pair of heels, or for a more formal occasion, I'll add a statement making blouse (like this v-neck above).

3. The Co-Ord Set
Matching sets have been having a moment for the last year or so, which makes me very happy because it's a super easy outfit solution. What I love most about this look is that it's just as perfect worn together, or mixed and matched back with other classic separates.
