Beauty Notes: Day to Night

From day... night

A new beauty routine for Summer...

A very exciting week for the beauty industry in Australia, as Sephora is now available to shop online! Every time I would visit New York, I always made a bee-line for the store, and while it's great to have a flagship store now in Sydney's CBD, I always love the ease of shopping online. For those of you familiar with, they have now merged with Sephora to bring you the AU site, and I have teamed up with them to bring you a round up of my favourite products as we start to make the transition to summer.

Start with a good cleanser - the Balancing Cleanser by Alpha-H removes makeup and impurities while maintaining your skins PH balance. Next up, toner - SK-II Treatment Essence is my secret weapon for clear, glowing skin. Lastly, mositurise - I'm really into facial oil at the moment and this Ageless Serum by Edible Beauty is the perfect brightening and rejuvenating serum to use as a base for your makeup.

Now it's time to use your favourite base (whether this be powder, liquid foundation or a tinted moisturiser) and then illuminator. For my highlighter, I'm using Edward Bess All Over Seduction in Sunlight, which gives a soft, natural glow when applied to your brown bone, cupids bow, cheekbones and down the centre of your nose. Then I add a little bit of colour - Nude Stix Lip + Cheek pencil in Mystic/Whisper is perfect applied with your finger to the apples of your cheeks. Lastly, I go for a natural lip with Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine which moisturises your lips while adding a soft peachy tint.

To take this look into evening is super simple. I like to go for the effortless, sun kissed look with a little more colour for added impact. Up the intensity of your cheeks by applying 3 Concept Eyes blush in Valentine Pink with the Sephora kabuki brush softly on the apples up to the cheekbones. Next, I add more colour to my lips with Sephora Lip Crayon in Glossy Beige. Lastly, it's all about the eye - I apply two coats of Sephora Smoky Extravagant Mascara to make my lashes look full and open. Now all you need is some jewellery and you're good to go!
